A Full-Circle Moment: Amphitrite Studio at STITCH Style Market
From the Runway to Home Goods.
When I first started Amphitrite Studio, my work looked a little different than it does today. I was designing and stitching clothing, building garments from the ground up, and even had the chance to send my own designs down the runway at STITCH 2019.
Since then, Amphitrite Studio has slowly evolved.
These days, my work has moved from the closet into the home. I spend most of my time making linen home goods: aprons, napkins, towels, table linens, and useful pieces meant to be part of daily life. They are quieter than runway pieces, maybe, but no less special. They are made to be reached for often, washed often, and woven into the ordinary rituals of cooking, gathering, cleaning, hosting, and living.
That’s why I’m especially excited to be returning to STITCH this year as part of the Style Market!
The STITCH Style Market is a fashion-based pop-up market featuring Maine-based designers and makers alongside the STITCH runway show.
It will take place on June 4 from 5–9pm at Maine Studio Works in Portland, with the runway show beginning at 7pm.
I’ll be bringing a small selection of Amphitrite Studio goods, including linen aprons, napkins, and other pieces for the home. It feels meaningful to return to an event that was part of my early creative life, now with work that reflects where the studio has grown. If you’re planning to attend STITCH, I’d love for you to stop by, say hello, and see the linens in person.
